The Role  

As a cloud architect you play a critical role in the design and implementation of ATOSS’ cloud infrastructure to run Europe’s leading SaaS offering for workforce management. You work in close cooperation with cloud engineers, software development, product management, and controlling.  

  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Cooperate closely with cloud architects and ops engineers, product management and software development to collect cloud operational requirements for our SaaS offering. 

• Guide the implementation of requirements during the development of both product and cloud infrastructure. 

• Support the development of our cloud infrastructure actively and inspire the team to deliver excellence. 

• Contribute substantially to our technical roadmap and long-term operational strategy 

• Educate our technical product managers and application developers to understand the opportunities and constraints of cloud operations. 

• Consider security and costs in your technical designs and take accountability for the solution meeting its targets. 

 

Key Requirements: 

• Experience with modern cloud architectures, cloud technologies, and the operation of cloud services. Here are the important elements of our tech stack: Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Linkerd, Kafka, IAM services/OIDC/Keycloak, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Redis Cache, Nginx, Eureka, and the Grafana stack. Our applications are mainly brewed from Java, and we use Flutter/Dart for the app. 

• CI/CD is your second nature and you are comfortable with writing and managing pipelines in Azure DevOps. 

• Experience in designing and operating container clusters for B2B SaaS solutions. 

• Understanding of key performance and cost drivers of SaaS solutions. 

• Fluent in English (at least equivalent to B2), German skills are a plus. 

• Great communication skills and ability to teamwork in a distributed and multi-disciplinary team.
