Your Role
As Team Lead Sales SMB (m/f/d), you together with your team will focus on new customer acquisition (New Logo Sales). Our target customers are companies in the SMB & Mid Markert space up to 1000 employees.
- Independent Sales Execution: You will be responsible for the entire sales process from lead generation to closing.
- Focus on Outbound Sales with a sales cycle of 2-6 months on average, sometimes longer.
- Customer qualification using the SPIN method and selling to key decision-makers (HR, IT, executive management, procurement, production/logistics management).
- Pipeline and performance management: Building a strong pipeline through mostly cold calling, but also other outbound activities.
Leadership
We follow a structured onboarding process to ensure your optimal start. You will be hired and communicated as a Team Lead/Head of Sales, but will initially focus on your own quota before taking over a team of 3-5 Sales Executives after approximately 6 months.
- First year: Focus on personal sales targets while simultaneously training for leadership responsibilities.
- Second half-year: Initial team responsibility with gradual transition.
- Long-term perspective: Growing the team, with decreasing personal sales quota over time.
- "Leading by Example": You don’t manage from a distance – you are an active part of the team and a role model in the sales process.
- Regular leadership training (internal & external) to further develop your leadership skills.
What You Bring
- Several years of experience in complex B2B SaaS sales with a proven track record of success.
- Experience in Solution Sales/Consultative Selling and working with complex decision-making structures.
- Ideally, initial leadership experience (interim Team Lead role, mentoring etc.) and a strong motivation to take this step.
- Sales drive, motivation, and willingness to learn to succeed in the complex world of workforce management.
- High level of self-responsibility & "entrepreneurial mindset" – we focus on growth!
- Willingness to travel (approx. 20-30%)
